Soldier’s Heart Healing Retreat for Women Warriors and Community
June 9-12, 2016
Skidmore College
Saratoga Springs, NY
A Soldier’s Heart retreat open to all women, including supportive civilians, and especially those who have served or are serving in the military and would like a safe, supportive space to speak the truth about their military experience, receive sensitive, heartfelt guidance, and gain personal growth.
Soldier’s Heart retreats restore warriors and their communities by providing veterans, service members, family members, helping professionals and caring community members a safe space to learn and practice ways of successful homecoming and healing from war and military service as found in Dr. Edward Tick’s book, War and the Soul. Participants will gain a deep understanding of PTSD as a soul wound.
Retreats can be an intense experience. We strive to remain flexible and open so that needs, memories, and feelings that emerge spontaneously and organically can be responded to at the time of their surfacing. Participants are asked to attend all days and all sessions of the retreat and participate to the best of their ability.
